Structural Fitter / Welder

About the job

As a structural fitter and welder, you work with metal structures and components every day. You work independently from technical drawings and deliver results that meet the client's requirements exactly. The work varies, and no two days are the same.

What you'll do

• Read and interpret technical drawings and specifications
• Prepare structures and components carefully and assemble them according to the applicable guidelines
• Weld different materials precisely, such as steel, stainless steel and aluminium, using various welding techniques (MIG/MAG, TIG and stick welding)
• Check the quality of your own welding work and make corrections yourself when needed
• Keep tools and equipment in good condition
• Make sure your workspace stays clean, safe and tidy

What we ask

• Proven experience as a structural fitter and welder
• Knowledge of different welding techniques and the ability to work with various materials
• Ability to read and understand complex technical drawings
• Awareness of safety rules and the ability to follow strict standards
• Able to work both independently and in a team, with good communication skills and a careful approach to work
• Diplomas or certificates in welding or structural work are a strong advantage

• Salary from €3,500 to €4,500 gross per month, depending on experience and qualifications
