Senior Naval Shipfitter

About the job

As a senior naval shipfitter, you install, maintain and improve electrical systems on advanced warships and submarines. Precision matters here. You work together with colleagues and clients to keep systems safe and running.

What you'll do

• Install electrical systems on warships and submarines according to current standards and specifications.
• Maintain existing systems by carrying out preventive inspections and repairs.
• Report completed work and any issues to your team and the client.
• Communicate with clients and work with colleagues to finish projects successfully.
• Keep the workplace tidy and safe, both on-site and in the workshop.

What we ask

• A completed vocational qualification (mbo, Dutch intermediate vocational education) in Electrical Engineering, level 3.
• At least 2 years of experience with electrical systems.
• A client-focused attitude, flexibility and good communication skills.
• A category B driving licence and residence in or near Den Helder.
• A VCA certificate (Dutch safety certificate for working in high-risk environments) is a plus.

• Salary from €3,000 to €4,000 gross per month.
