Glazier

About the job

We are looking for an experienced glazier to work at a medium-sized painting and glazing company in Emmen. The company has between 25 and 40 employees. You work independently or together with a glazier's assistant who helps you fit glass. You handle jobs for housing associations, construction companies, and property maintenance companies.

What you'll do

• Fitting glass in residential properties, including homes with tenants living in them
• Repairing rotten wood around window and door frames
• Replacing complete window and door frames
• Working independently or with a glazier's assistant
• Travelling to customers in a company van
• Acting as a point of reference and adviser for colleagues
• Representing the company in a professional and reliable way

What we ask

• At least 2 years of experience as a glazier
• Category B driving licence (required), own car (useful but not required)
• VCA-basis certificate (a Dutch safety certificate for construction and technical work), or willingness to obtain it for free through the agency
• Good communication skills to work well with colleagues and customers
• Reliability and meeting agreed deadlines

What we offer

• Pay in line with CAO SAG (CAO is a Dutch collective labour agreement setting minimum pay and conditions): €2,800 to €3,500 gross per month, depending on experience and qualifications

• Full-time work: 37.5 hours per week
• Training opportunities, for example a rotten wood repair course, a mobile elevated work platform course, and others
• Work clothing and safety boots provided by the agency or the company
• Choice of payment frequency: weekly, every 4 weeks, or monthly
