About the job
As a DVM Technician (Dynamic Traffic Management), you keep traffic management systems running. When something breaks down, you act. Sometimes you fix the problem remotely. Sometimes you get in a company van and drive to the site. You work with equipment you see every day along the road: variable message signs, inductive loops, and traffic control centres.
What you'll do
- Monitor DVM systems remotely
- Respond quickly to reports and breakdowns
- Diagnose the cause of a fault and fix it
- Carry out maintenance and repair work
- Work on installations such as variable message signs, detection loops, and traffic control centres
- Work both from the dispatch centre and directly on site
- Use technical documentation to troubleshoot problems
- Work with specialist measuring and testing equipment
- Keep traffic management systems safe and reliable
- Take on standby or on-call duties
What we ask
- At least MBO 3 (Dutch vocational qualification, level 3) in electrical engineering or a related field
- Experience in electrical installation work
- Driving licence category B/E
- Willingness to take on standby or on-call duties
- A technical approach to work and the ability to analyse problems
- Calm and precise under pressure, including during breakdowns
- Able to work independently and as part of a team
- Good communication skills, including contact with clients and other parties involved
