E&I Technician

Are you an experienced E&I Technician who gets energy from working on complex systems and solving tough faults? We are looking for technical specialists who make a difference, for a range of leading industrial clients. In this role you make sure that advanced electrical installations, measurement and control systems, and process controllers run at their best.
You work on critical installations where your knowledge has a direct impact on safety, reliability, and continuity of production processes. From analysing faults and carrying out calibrations to optimising systems: you are the specialist who keeps processes running without interruption.
You will work in demanding industrial environments, including the chemical, energy, food, and process industries. Every assignment brings new technical challenges where your skills, problem-solving ability, and love of technology are put to full use.
What you'll do
- Carry out preventive and corrective maintenance on electrical installations and instrumentation systems.
- Calibrate pressure, temperature, flow, and level measurements.
- Analyse and troubleshoot faults in PLC, SCADA, and DCS environments.
- Work on motor controllers, frequency drives, and MCC installations.
- Test and commission sensors, transmitters, and control valves.
- Read and interpret E&I drawings, loop diagrams, and single-line diagrams.
- Carry out inspections in line with NEN 3140 guidelines (Dutch standard for safe working on electrical installations).
- Detect deviations and improve installations.
- Provide support during shutdowns, turnarounds, and upgrade projects.
- Carry out measurements in low-voltage installations.
What we ask
- A completed technical education at MBO 3 or 4 level (Dutch vocational qualification) or higher in Electrical Engineering, Instrumentation, or Industrial Automation.
- At least 5 years of proven work experience in an industrial E&I environment.
- Experience with industrial process control systems such as Siemens S7, Allen Bradley, or similar.
- Proven experience with DCS systems and calibration work.
- Background in petrochemicals, process industry, food production, power plants, or heavy industry.
- Knowledge of ATEX environments (explosion-safe equipment and zones) is a strong plus.
- Experience with work permits and isolating installations.
- Willingness to work in shift schedules (2-, 3-, or 5-shift systems).
- Willingness to be on call for technical standby duty.
- Flexible availability at various industrial locations across the Netherlands.
