Instrumentation and Control Technician
About the job
Want to help build a cleaner and more sustainable world? You can start as a technician at one of the largest energy producers in the country.
As an Instrumentation and Control Technician, you are the specialist on site at the power plant. You use your knowledge to analyse and solve faults in electrical engineering, control technology, or process automation. You are also responsible for corrective and preventive maintenance of measuring instruments and motors.
You work across a wide range of technical disciplines, with new situations and learning opportunities every day. Because you work with many different systems, the department has put together an extensive training programme. This includes internal and external training and courses, but mostly you will learn from your colleagues. Once you have built up enough knowledge and experience, you will also take part in emergency on-call duties.
What we ask
The technician we are looking for thinks sharply and technically, and gets real satisfaction from solving complex electrical faults. We also ask:
- a completed vocational qualification (MBO level 3, a Dutch vocational degree) in electrical engineering, energy technology, mechatronics, a mid-level engineering programme (electrical), or Marof
- up-to-date and practical knowledge of control technology
- a driving licence
- a good command of English
What you'll do
Looking for a technical role with real purpose? You will find it here. On top of that, you get:

- profit sharing
- a training budget
- 25 days of holiday
- 13 additional ADV days (reduced working hours days, common in Dutch employment)
- travel cost reimbursement
- collective health insurance
- good pension conditions
Depending on the role and the client, reference checks and verification of diplomas and certificates may be part of the recruitment process.
