Stairlift Service Technician

About the job

You work in the field as a stairlift service technician. Every day you drive a company van (Ford Transit Connect) with professional Milwaukee tools to visit private customers, mainly elderly and disabled people who have had a stairlift installed. Your job is maintenance and inspections only, no breakdown callouts.

What you'll do

• Carry out inspections and maintenance of stairlifts at private addresses
• Visit 6 to 8 addresses per day
• Work independently in the field after a 4-week onboarding with an experienced technician
• Drive the company van to and from customers
• Grow towards a full service technician or installation technician role

What we ask

• You live near Den Haag, Delft, Zoetermeer, or close to one of these cities
• You are looking for permanent, full-time work
• You have a valid driving licence
• You have technical knowledge and a proven technical background (an interest in mechanics or electrics, even as a hobby, is welcome)
• You communicate well and present yourself neatly
• You can obtain a VOG (Verklaring Omtrent het Gedrag, a Dutch certificate of good conduct). The cost is reimbursed by the employer
• You hold a VCA certificate (a Dutch safety certification for working conditions) or you are willing to get one. The employer arranges this

• Starting salary of €3,474 gross per month (salary increases when you move to a permanent contract)

• 125% overtime rate, applied from the 8th working hour of the day
• 150% rate for hours worked beyond 10 hours per day

• On a permanent contract: 27 holiday days and 13 ADV days (shorter working hours days, a common arrangement in Dutch employment), giving 40 days off per year in total
