About the job
As a maintenance technician, you keep production machines and installations running safely and reliably. You combine planned inspections with fixing breakdowns and making technical improvements. Your work directly prevents costly production downtime.
What you'll do
- You analyse technical faults and find the root cause before you start a repair.
- You carry out preventive maintenance and inspections to catch problems early.
- You work on mechanical, electrotechnical, pneumatic and hydraulic systems.
- You assess breakdowns on your own and decide what technical approach is needed.
- You get machines back up and running after a repair or breakdown, so production can restart safely and without delay.
- You help operators with technical questions and support them when an installation is not working as expected.
- You identify recurring problems and suggest technical solutions to improve machine reliability.
- You record the work you have done and follow the current maintenance schedule.
- You follow technical procedures and safety rules during all work.
What we ask
- A completed technical MBO (Dutch intermediate vocational education) qualification, for example in mechanics, electrotechnology, mechatronics or a related field.
- Experience in industrial maintenance is a plus, but it is not required from every applicant.
- Knowledge of mechanics and/or electrotechnology.
- A desire to grow in the field of industrial technology.
- Technical and analytical ability when diagnosing faults.
- A practical, solution-focused approach to work.
- Attention to safety and quality.
- Willingness to learn new techniques and get to know new installations.
- Good communication skills.
- Availability to work the day shift.
- Applicants with a background in automotive, machine building, service or another technical field who want to move into industrial maintenance are also welcome.
