Breakdown mechanic / service technician – dairy industry – 5 shifts

About the job

Do you want to work with modern production installations at an international dairy company? As an all-round mechanic, you make sure the plant runs safely and reliably. You fix breakdowns, carry out preventive maintenance, and actively contribute to technical improvements. Because of your work, installations stay in top condition and unnecessary downtime is prevented.

During your shift, you are the first point of contact for technical failures. You work closely with colleagues from the technical, production, and maintenance departments. Safety, quality, and continuous improvement always come first.

What you'll do

• Fix mechanical, electrotechnical, and control-automation breakdowns
• Carry out preventive inspections and inspection rounds of production installations
• Spot opportunities for improvement and help build a reliable maintenance programme
• Record completed work and technical data in the maintenance management system
• Work together with mechanics, engineers, and production staff to keep installations running at their best

What we ask

• A completed mbo-3 or mbo-4 qualification (Dutch vocational education level 3 or 4) in mechanics, electrotechnics, or measurement and control technology
• Experience as a maintenance mechanic or breakdown mechanic in an industrial environment
• Experience with SAP or another maintenance management system is a plus
• VCA (Dutch safety certificate for working in industrial environments) and NEN3140 certification, or willingness to obtain these
