Mechanical Maintenance Technician
**About the job**
Location: Lelystad
As a mechanical maintenance technician, you are responsible for preventive and corrective maintenance of mechanical installations. You also support planned shutdowns, inspections, and small technical projects.
You work closely with colleagues from mechanical, electrical, civil, and work preparation departments.
**What you'll do**
- Carry out maintenance on pumps, valves, piping systems, steam boilers, and gas turbines
- Prepare, execute, and close out maintenance work
- Coordinate small projects and planned shutdowns with colleagues and contractors
- Detect and solve technical faults and breakdowns
- Write clear reports on completed work
- Support inspections and technical improvements
- Participate in on-call duty (consignatie: being available outside regular hours for emergency calls)
**What we ask**
You are technically competent, safety-conscious, and comfortable working in an industrial maintenance environment.
You also have
- A completed MBO-4 (Dutch vocational qualification, level 4) in mechanical engineering, AOT, or a comparable field
- Experience in power plants, the process industry, or heavy industry
- Knowledge of rotating equipment, pressure components, and mechanical installations
- Experience with turbines is a plus
- Good command of Dutch, and basic English is preferred
- You are precise, communicative, and keep a clear overview during maintenance work and breakdowns
