Mechanical Maintenance Technician - Chemical Industry - Day Shift

**About the job**
The Technical Department keeps the factory's process installations in good condition. The goal is maximum availability and reliability. Safety comes first. You check safety on the installations and point out safety issues to your colleagues. You also take measurements of systems, installations, equipment and tools. Based on those measurements, you give advice on changes and improvements to maintenance concepts. You also find faults in installations. To do this well, you need knowledge, commitment, responsibility and flexibility.
**What you'll do**
- You assess (complex) failures in process installations, auxiliary equipment and building systems
- You discuss solutions with technicians, maintenance engineers and specialist engineers
- You can take part in project teams based on your knowledge
- You take part in the on-call rota
**What we offer**
- Gross salary from €3,000 to €4,700 per month
- Fixed on-call allowance
- Fixed 13th month and vakantiegeld (holiday pay, a standard Dutch benefit equal to about 8% of annual salary)
- Bonus based on company results and personal performance
- Permanent contract (after 1 year)
- 25 vacation days + 6 ADV days (ADV: extra days off in lieu of longer working hours, common in Dutch CAO agreements)
**What we ask**
To do this job well near Utrecht, it is important that you are a team player with a service-minded and problem-solving attitude. In addition:
- You have a completed MBO 4 (Dutch vocational qualification, level 4) or higher in mechanical engineering, mechatronics or industrial maintenance
- You have a strong technical understanding, you work in a solution-focused way and you are not put off by complex failures
- You have experience in precision maintenance, preventive maintenance and corrective maintenance
- You know hydraulics and pneumatics
- You know rotating equipment
- You have at least 5 years of experience as a mechanical maintenance technician in the process industry
Depending on the role and the client, a reference check and verification of diplomas and certificates may be part of the recruitment process.
