Forklift Operator (Temporary)

About the job

You keep production moving.

As a forklift operator, you are an important link between logistics and production. You move materials safely and on time, so operators can focus on the production process. You prevent unnecessary downtime.

During your shift, you keep an eye on what the production floor needs. You work independently, but stay in regular contact with your production colleagues.

What you'll do

• Move raw materials and finished products by forklift;
• Transport IBCs and drums around the production site;
• Deliver materials to operators;
• Receive and store finished products in the right place;
• Support operators with logistics tasks;
• Keep the workplace safe, clean and organised;
• Check that materials are in the right place;
• Work according to the applicable safety and quality rules.

You work a 5-shift rotation on a 2-2-3 schedule. That means intensive blocks of work, but also regular stretches with several days off.

Pay and conditions

Earn more with shift work.

You get a clear financial reward for your flexibility and commitment in the 5-shift system. On top of your base salary, you receive a 30% shift allowance.

What you get

• Base salary from €2,837 to €3,000 gross per month, depending on experience;
• 30% shift allowance;
• Total pay of around €3,688 to €3,900 gross per month, including the shift allowance;
• 24 days of holiday;
• 8.33% vakantiegeld (holiday pay, a statutory annual bonus paid on top of your salary);
• A 13th month paid on a pro-rata basis;
• Travel allowance of €0.23 per kilometre from 5 kilometres, up to a maximum of 35 kilometres;
• A 5-shift working pattern;
• A temporary position in a professional production environment;
• Work at an international organisation with a long history in the chemical industry.

• A valid forklift operator certificate;
• Proven experience as a forklift operator;
• Willingness to work a 5-shift rotation;
• A safe and precise way of working;
• A practical attitude and a good sense of responsibility;
• Good cooperation with operators and other colleagues;
• A working knowledge of Dutch.

Experience in a production, process or chemical environment is a plus.
