All-round Maintenance Technician

About the job

You have a lot of freedom and responsibility in this role. Besides fixing breakdowns and doing maintenance, you actively think along about technical improvements and process optimisation. You work independently and together with colleagues and external technicians.

What you'll do

• Carry out preventive, periodic and corrective maintenance.
• Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic faults.
• Perform maintenance during planned service stops.
• Think along about technical improvements and process optimisation.
• Give advice on the purchase and installation of new machines.
• Work together with operators, fellow technicians and external parties.
• Log completed work in the Ultimo system.

You work mainly in Oirschot. Occasionally you may be asked to support other production sites in the Helmond and Weert area. You work day shifts and are on standby (consignatie, an on-call duty outside normal hours) roughly once a month. You may also work a Saturday about once a month, with an overtime allowance.

We are looking for an enthusiastic, hands-on technician who likes solving problems and keeps production running smoothly. You work independently, take responsibility and enjoy growing your technical knowledge.

We also ask

• Preferably an mbo-3/4 (Dutch vocational education, intermediate level) qualification in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, mechatronics, or a similar level of knowledge gained through practical experience.
• Experience as a technician in a production environment is a plus.
• Knowledge of electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, hydraulics and pneumatics is preferred.
• Experience with electrical switching or welding is a plus.
• You hold a NEN 3140 certificate (Dutch safety standard for working with electrical installations) or are willing to obtain it.
• You work safely and accurately and can set priorities well.
• You communicate well and enjoy working with operators, fellow technicians and external parties.

What we offer

• Gross monthly salary of €3,300 to €4,300, depending on knowledge and experience.
• Full-time position of 40 hours per week.
• 38 days off per year: 25 holiday days and 13 ADV days (reduction of working hours days, a Dutch arrangement for extra time off).
