Freelance Welder

About the job

As a freelance welder you work on various technical projects where your knowledge and experience matter directly. You carry out welding work on structures, components and installations. Depending on the assignment, you work on your own or together with other specialists.

You work for opdrachtgevers (clients) in the technical sector: machine building, structural construction, industry, manufacturing and technical services. You work in professional settings where quality, safety and expertise are key.

What you'll do

• Carry out welding work according to drawings and specifications
• Assemble, process and weld metal structures
• Carry out repair, maintenance and assembly work
• Check materials, dimensions and weld quality
• Work in line with applicable health and safety rules
• Identify technical problems and suggest practical solutions
• Work independently across various technical projects

What we ask

• Proven experience as a welder in the technical sector
• Registration with the Chamber of Commerce (KvK) with a current extract
• Current BTW (VAT) number
• Business liability insurance (bedrijfsaansprakelijkheidsverzekering)
• Statement of payment behaviour (verklaring betalingsgedrag)
• Current VCA-VOL certificate (VCA is a Dutch health and safety certification; VOL is the full version for supervisors and workers in high-risk roles)
• Valid welding certificates are a plus
• Own transport and own tools
• Own personal protective equipment (PPE)
• Independent, precise and quality-focused way of working
