Breakdown Mechanic / Electromechanician - Food Production
About the job
As a breakdown mechanic, you work with your colleagues in the technical department to keep the production installations running well. You work a 5-shift rotation and you are the first point of contact when something breaks down. Your technical knowledge reduces downtime and keeps production safe and efficient.
You analyse and fix faults in both mechanical and electrotechnical systems, and you carry out preventive maintenance. You also support overhauls, modifications and improvement projects to make the machine park more reliable.
You work with a range of techniques: electrical engineering, mechanics, pneumatics, hydraulics, drive technology, pumps, conveyor systems and PLC-controlled systems. You log your work in the maintenance system and take an active part in finding structural improvements.
What you'll do
- Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrotechnical breakdowns.
- Carry out preventive maintenance on production installations.
- Support overhauls, modifications and improvement projects.
- Work with pneumatics, hydraulics, drive technology, pumps, conveyor systems and PLC systems.
- Log all actions in the maintenance system.
- Help identify and implement structural improvements.
What we ask
You are a mechanic who gets energy from solving technical problems and likes working in a production environment where technology comes first. You think analytically, work accurately and are happy to be part of the improvement process.
You also have
- An mbo 3 or mbo 4 diploma (Dutch vocational education, roughly equivalent to a technical college qualification) in mechatronics, electrical engineering, mechanics or a related field.
- Experience as a breakdown mechanic, maintenance mechanic or technical department mechanic in a production or process environment.
- Knowledge of both mechanical and electrotechnical installations.
- Experience with PLC controllers is a plus.
- Willingness to work a 5-shift rotation.
- A safe, independent way of working and a real team-player attitude.
