Poultry Transport Driver

About the job

You transport poultry from farms to processing facilities. You work a fixed schedule and take care of both the transport and the welfare of the animals.

What you'll do

• Drive to poultry farms and deliver to fixed locations, following a set plan
• Check that poultry is loaded according to current guidelines
• Work with truck and trailer combinations
• Follow transport regulations, hygiene rules and animal welfare requirements
• Handle transport documents, record data and weigh loads
• Report any problems you notice

What we ask

• Category C and CE driving licence and a valid driver card
• Willing to get a poultry transport certificate (can be obtained for free)
• Willing to work shifts between 03:30 and 23:00
• Able to work independently and solve problems as they come up
• A sense of responsibility for the transport, the equipment and the animals

What we offer

• Starting pay of € 3,238.64 per 4 weeks (scale D-6 under the CAO Beroepsgoederenvervoer, the Dutch collective labour agreement for road freight transport)
• Allowances for irregular hours
• Breaks are fully paid
• 24 days of leave and 8% vakantiegeld (holiday allowance, a statutory annual bonus on top of your salary)
• Travel cost reimbursement in line with the CAO
• Free certificates and licence extensions
• Contract directly with the employer from day one
