Trailer Mechanic

About the job

As a trailer mechanic, you are responsible for maintenance, repairs, overhauls and fault-finding on various types of rolling stock in the workshop. The job is based in Amsterdam.

What you'll do

• Welding work, brake inspection, bodywork and straightening
• Work on air systems, lighting, trailer fittings and technical inspections (APK, the Dutch mandatory vehicle inspection)
• Fault-finding on electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic systems
• Fabricating parts and carrying out quality checks on completed work
• Maintaining workshop machines and equipment
• Taking part in on-call shifts as part of the team, with a good extra allowance

What we ask

• Completed EBAT training or a comparable technical qualification
• Knowledge of electrical, mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic systems
• Category B driving licence (categories C and E are a plus)
• Good command of Dutch, both spoken and written

What we offer

• Salary from €2,800 to €3,700 gross per month, depending on education and experience
