About the job
You work as a rehabilitation equipment mechanic. You repair and service mobility scooters, wheelchairs, and adapted bikes. You work both in the workshop and at customers' homes. Your work makes a real difference in the daily lives of people with limited mobility.
What you'll do
- Prepare new rehabilitation equipment for use and show customers how to operate it
- Repair and service equipment in the workshop and at customers' homes
- Diagnose faults and fix them
- Pick up and deliver equipment, and give instructions to users in person
- Take part in 24-hour service standby shifts (with extra pay)
What we ask
- Experience as a mechanic (electrical engineering, mechatronics, vehicles, bikes, or similar), or a strong motivation to learn the trade
- Category B driving licence
- Good command of Dutch
- Willingness to take part in 24-hour service standby shifts
- Ability to work independently, attention to detail, and a customer-focused attitude
Employment conditions
- Salary from €2,689 to €3,629 gross per month (full-time)
- 30 days of annual leave
- 8% vakantiegeld (holiday pay, a standard Dutch allowance paid on top of your salary) and a 4% annual bonus
- Extra bonus of €191 for each standby shift, plus 125%/200% rate for work outside standard hours
- Employer covers 60% of your pension contribution
- Personal training plan and the option to grow into an all-round mechanic role (up to €3,921 gross per month)
