Diesel Engine Mechanic

About the job

You work in the field as a diesel engine mechanic. You carry out inspections, repairs, overhauls, and commissioning of diesel engines used in shipping and industry, among other sectors.

What you'll do

• You fix faults in all types of engines, mechanical, hydraulic, and electronic, using modern diagnostic tools
• You carry out service inspections and overhaul work on engines and components directly at the customer's site
• After your onboarding period, you work independently on engines based on the jobs assigned to you
• You advise customers on how to operate and maintain their engines
• You report completed work, both verbally and in writing, to your supervisor and to the customer on site

What we ask

• Experience in servicing or repairing diesel engines, whether mechanical, hydraulic, or engine electronics
• Knowledge of diesel engines and related components, familiarity with electrical systems is a plus
• Willingness to work in the field and carry out tasks independently
