Shift Mechanic

About the job

This is an industrial production site in Farmsum where technical work is central to the daily process. We are looking for a shift mechanic who likes working around machines and operators. You work a 5-shift schedule, averaging around 33.6 hours per week.

What you'll do

  • Diagnose and fix mechanical faults
  • Support operators with technical problems during production
  • Check machines and installations for faults and wear
  • Spot wear, defects and possible improvements early
  • Carry out preventive maintenance and small repairs
  • Support larger maintenance and overhaul jobs
  • Record completed work correctly
  • Work safely and keep your work area tidy

What we ask

  • Hands-on technical experience, for example as an assembler, service mechanic, maintenance technician or pipe fitter
  • Experience in industry, production or technical maintenance
  • Technical understanding and a problem-solving attitude
  • Good command of Dutch, required because of safety rules on site
  • Driving licence and your own transport
  • Experience with maintaining and repairing machines and installations is a plus

What we offer

  • Salary from €4,169.83 to €4,588.74 gross per month, including shift allowance
  • Based on the average working week of around 33.6 hours, that works out to €28.64 to €31.52 gross per hour, including shift allowance
  • 5-shift schedule
  • Average working week of around 33.6 hours
  • Travel allowance of €0.23 per kilometre, from 10 kilometres one way
