Process Operator Chemistry
About the job
As a process operator in Hengelo, you work with large-scale installations, multiple production plants, and a dedicated power plant. You have full room to develop your technical skills in complex chemical processes.
What you'll do
- Operate, monitor, and adjust the production process;
- Carry out inspection rounds and report deviations;
- Analyse disturbances and take the right action;
- Take and assess samples for product quality control;
- Record process data and carry out shift handovers;
- Secure installations using the LoToTo principle (lock out, tag out, try out);
- Assess work permits and release workplaces;
- Prepare installations for maintenance work;
- Take part in improvement projects on safety, quality, and efficiency.
What we ask
You work carefully, stay calm when process deviations occur, and take safety seriously. You want to keep growing in a complex production environment.
You also have
- A completed mbo-3 or mbo-4 (Dutch vocational education, levels 3 and 4) qualification in process technology, for example VAPRO B/C or AOT;
- Preferably experience as an operator in the chemical, energy, or heavy process industry;
- Technical knowledge and the ability to analyse process deviations;
- A BHV certificate (Dutch in-company emergency response) or willingness to obtain one;
- Willingness to work a 5-shift schedule.
