About the job

As a Process Operator you are responsible for monitoring, controlling and optimising a power plant. From the control room and during rounds through the installation, you make sure that the production of steam, electricity and other utilities runs without interruption. This makes you a key person in keeping many production processes going.

You monitor installations using a process control system, check important process parameters and make adjustments when needed. You also start up and shut down installations, carry out safety procedures and prepare maintenance work. During your shift you analyse breakdowns, spot deviations and work together with technical teams to find lasting solutions.

You work with various process installations and unit operations, including steam boilers, turbines, heat exchangers, pumps, water treatment and utilities. Safety, reliability and process optimisation always come first.

What we ask

You are an operator who is happy to take responsibility for a technical and complex production process. You keep a clear overview, think ahead and feel at home in an environment where safety and teamwork matter most.


You also meet the following requirements

  • Completed education at AOT, VAPRO C, REWIC A or equivalent at mbo 4 level.
  • Experience as a Process Operator in the energy, chemical or process industry.
  • Interest in utilities, energy generation or automated production processes.
  • You are analytical, decisive and solution-oriented.
  • Willing to work a 5-shift rotation.
  • Good command of the Dutch language.

  • Gross monthly salary between €4,091 and €5,657, including shift allowance.
  • 30% shift allowance.
