Production Operator
## About the job
In Bergschenhoek you can work as a Production Operator in a modern factory that makes snacks and nuts. The work is varied. You work across different departments and tasks. You learn a lot and there is room to grow.
You work in several places on the production floor. You switch departments depending on the planning. Flexibility is important.
**Mixing Department (roasting nuts)**
Here you work with large roasting ovens. Your tasks include
- Operating and monitoring the ovens
- Loading nuts into the machines
- Setting time and temperature
- Checking product quality
- Recording production data and reporting faults
- Cleaning machines according to the rules
- Working with colleagues to keep the process running smoothly
**Manual Packing Department**
In this department you pack products by hand. Your tasks
- Placing products in boxes
- Preparing boxes for shipping
- Checking quantities and quality
- Sticking labels on packaging
- Keeping your workstation tidy
- Working together to meet targets
This department requires speed and accuracy.
**Dragee Department (machines and packing)**
Here you work with packing and production machines. Your tasks:
- Operating machines during production
- Checking quality
- Fixing small faults
- Doing basic maintenance
- Keeping your workstation clean and tidy
**Working hours**
You work full time in a 3-shift rotation, Monday to Sunday
- Morning shift: 06:00 – 14:45
- Afternoon shift: 14:00 – 22:45
- Night shift: 22:00 – 06:45
Sometimes you work on Saturday. There is an extra allowance for that.
## What we ask
- At least 1 year of experience in production or working with machines
- Experience in the food industry is a plus
- Vocational education level (vmbo, a Dutch secondary vocational qualification)
- Basic Dutch or English
- Willing to work in shifts
- Working according to hygiene and safety rules
- Able to travel to Bergschenhoek (up to 40 km)
- Flexible to work in different departments
**What you get:**
- Salary €16.28 – €16.63 gross per hour
- Shift allowance of 14% or 19%
- 30% extra on Saturdays, 100% on public holidays
- 8% vakantiegeld (holiday pay, a mandatory annual bonus in the Netherlands)
