Reach Truck Operator / Production

About the job

As a reach truck operator at a sawmill, you are an important part of the production process. Your work makes sure colleagues always have the right materials on time and production runs smoothly. You work full time in a two-shift system: morning shift 06:00-14:30 and afternoon shift 14:20-22:50.

What you'll do

• Collect pallets from racks and deliver the right materials to the sawmill on time
• Monitor the workflow and decide which operator needs new materials first
• Drive the reach truck as your main task, and occasionally operate a forklift
• Support colleagues when needed
• During busy periods, stand in for a sawmill operator or help with loading and unloading
• At the start of your employment, take part in an internal sawmill operator training to get to know the production process from the inside

What we ask

• MBO level education or experience (MBO is Dutch vocational education, roughly equivalent to a trade or technical qualification)
• Experience as a reach truck operator or warehouse worker is a plus
• Valid reach truck and forklift certificate
• Ability to keep a clear overview and set priorities
• Flexible, independent, and good communication skills
