Loading and Unloading Operator

About the job

As a loading and unloading operator, you are responsible for the safe loading, unloading and pumping of liquid raw materials and biofuels. You work with tank trucks, inland vessels and seagoing vessels. You have regular contact with drivers and colleagues on site. You operate pumps, pipelines, valves and other technical installations.

What you'll do

• Guide drivers around the site and make sure they reach the right location
• Connect hoses and installations for loading and unloading
• Operate and monitor pumps, valves and other technical installations
• Take samples and carry out simple checks
• Check documents and data related to loading operations
• Monitor compliance with health and safety, environmental and quality regulations
• Keep the work area clean and safe

What we ask

• Thinking and working level of at least MBO2 (Dutch secondary vocational education, level 2)
• VCA certificate (Dutch safety certification for working in hazardous environments), or willingness to obtain it
• Experience in a technical, logistics or production role is preferred
• Accurate, safe and independent way of working
• Willingness to work a 2-shift schedule
• Very good command of Dutch and English

What we offer

• Gross salary of €3,200 to €3,700 per month, including a 15% shift allowance
• One-year contract with the prospect of permanent employment
• Fixed supplement of €100 gross per month on top of the base salary
• Bonus scheme of up to 10% of gross annual salary
• Travel cost reimbursement of €0.23 per kilometre
• Good training and development opportunities
