About the job
Logistics worker at a flower auction in Hoofddorp. Work starts early in the morning and finishes before noon, so you have plenty of free time during the day. This is a good option for students, parents, or people who are active in sports.
What you'll do
- At 05:45 you start the day with a coffee in the canteen
- At 06:00 there is a briefing where team leaders share updates about the day, the number of trolleys with flowers and plants, and the expected finish time
- You put on a headset and get on an electric cart
- You move flowers and plants to the right locations, quickly, accurately, and safely
- The finish time depends on how busy it is. On average you finish between 10:00 and 13:00
What we ask
- Minimum 18 years old
- Good command of Dutch and/or English, spoken and written
- Height of at least 1.65 m
- Available at least 2 days per week
- A VOG (Verklaring Omtrent het Gedrag, a certificate of good conduct issued by the Dutch government) may be required as part of the application process
What we offer
- Hourly rate from €16.04 to €17.73 gross per hour
- Two paid onboarding days before you start, where you learn the logistics process, how to use the headset, and how to drive the electric cart
- Monday to Friday, starting at 06:00
- If you work 5 days a week, your working week is 20 to 25 hours
- Travel allowance of €0.23 per kilometre for distances over 5 km one way
- Full reimbursement of public transport costs if you work more than 4 days per week
- Weekly pay
- Vakantiegeld (holiday allowance, a statutory Dutch bonus) of 8.33%
- Pension scheme from your first day
- Once a quarter you receive a plant as a gift from the client
