Groundworker / Construction Labourer

About the job

You work with a team on groundwork projects in infrastructure and green areas. You do manual work and operate small construction machines.

What you'll do

• Manual digging and backfilling of excavations and trenches
• Levelling and compacting soil
• Assisting with laying sewage pipes and inspection chambers
• Preparing foundations for road surfaces
• Operating small construction equipment and taking height measurements

What we ask

• Good physical condition and willingness to work outdoors
• Experience in groundwork or infrastructure is a plus
• VCA Basis certificate (VCA is a Dutch safety certification for construction workers) or willingness to obtain it
• Category B driving licence is a plus
• Dutch language skills, both spoken and written

Offer

• Salary €2,750 - €3,000 gross per month
• 32 to 40 hours per week
• 26 holiday days and 13 ATV days (ATV is paid time off to reduce working hours under the Dutch CAO, the collective labour agreement)
