You work on large infrastructure installations that keep the country running. Not at a desk, but directly at the installations that keep the Netherlands dry, accessible and moving. Bridges that open, locks that operate, pumping stations working day and night. You make sure everything keeps working.
As an emergency service technician you are responsible for maintenance, inspections and fixing faults in complex technical installations at bridges, locks and pumping stations. You make sure these critical installations work safely and reliably. Together with your colleagues you work on innovative projects within one of the largest lock projects in Europe.
What you'll do
- Carry out inspections, maintenance and fault repairs on technical installations
- Test mechanical and electrotechnical systems and commission them for operation
- Analyse, locate and independently resolve faults
- Carry out repairs, modifications and technical alterations
- Participate in 24/7 emergency standby duty according to a schedule
- Support fellow technicians and share knowledge within the team
- Take an active role in safe and reliable infrastructure projects
What we ask
- Completed MBO-3 (Dutch vocational qualification, level 3) in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering or mechatronics
- Category B driving licence
- Valid VCA VOL certificate (Dutch safety certificate for working in hazardous environments) or willingness to obtain it
- NEN3140 VP certificate (Dutch certificate for working safely with electricity) or willingness to obtain it
- No objection to working at heights or near water
- Experience with bridges, locks or pumping stations is a plus
- Able to work independently and also comfortable working as part of a team
