Structural fitter / welder

About the job

You work as a structural fitter and welder on various industrial projects in the Rotterdam area. No two days are the same. You work with your hands, with technology, and with pride.

What you'll do

• You work on machine parts, installations, and metal structures
• You read technical drawings and process metal (steel, stainless steel, aluminium) by cutting, grinding, bending, and welding
• You weld using MIG/MAG or TIG methods
• You assemble and weld parts independently
• You work mainly in a workshop in Rotterdam, sometimes at a client's site

What we ask

• Experience in metalworking and a welding certificate for MIG/MAG or TIG (minimum level 2)
• VCA certificate (a Dutch safety certificate for working on industrial sites) or willingness to obtain one
• Good command of Dutch
• Category B driving licence, preferably your own car
• Accuracy, independence, and a flexible attitude

Conditions

• Full-time work: 38 hours per week, Monday to Friday, mainly day shifts
• Overtime or different hours are sometimes needed, these come with extra pay
• Pay depends on experience: starter (0-3 years) €15.13 per hour, mid-level (3-5 years) €17.50 per hour, experienced (5+ years) €21.93 per hour
• 13 ADV days (scheduled days off to reduce working hours) with a full-time contract
• Travel costs reimbursed
