About the job
You work as a specialist cleaning operative at and around railway stations. Your job is to thoroughly clean hard-to-reach areas and surfaces that need a specialist approach.
You work mainly in the area around The Hague and Rotterdam. Working hours are Monday to Friday, during the day, in the evenings, and at night. Weekends are mostly free. You often work alone on site, but you are always part of a close and friendly team.
What you'll do
- Carry out specialist cleaning tasks such as deep cleaning, high-pressure cleaning, graffiti removal, and floor maintenance
- Clean platforms, waiting areas, lifts, stairs, tunnels, and technical rooms
- Work according to strict safety rules that apply in the railway environment
- Keep a high standard of quality on every job
- Report dirt and damage that you notice
What we ask
- Experience in the cleaning industry, preferably as a specialist cleaning operative
- Available Monday to Friday (around 38 hours per week), willing to work night shifts
- Category B driving licence and your own car
- Living near Zoetermeer or willing to commute there
- Good command of Dutch
- VCA certificate (a Dutch safety certificate for working conditions) or willing to obtain it
- Willing to obtain railway safety certificates (DVP)
Employment conditions
- Salary from €2,810 to €3,190 gross per month, depending on experience
- Supplements for evening, night, and possible weekend work
- Travel costs reimbursed
- 8% vakantiegeld (holiday allowance, a mandatory annual bonus on top of your salary)
- Terms of employment in line with the CAO (collective labour agreement) for cleaning and window cleaning companies
