About the job
As a senior machine fitter, you combine technical work, responsibility, and travel. You assemble automatic loading and unloading systems, install them at customer sites around the world, and see your projects running in practice. You work partly in the workshop in Liempde and partly abroad.
What you'll do
- Assemble mechanical and electrotechnical parts of machines
- Install, test, and commission systems at customer sites abroad
- Divide tasks and supervise a small team of fitters on site
- Monitor planning, quality, and safety during a project
- Analyse and fix faults together with customers and colleagues
- Travel abroad about four times a year for three to four weeks at a time; the rest of the time you work in the workshop
What we ask
- MBO diploma (Dutch vocational qualification, level 3 or 4) in mechatronics, mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, or a related field
- Three to five years of experience in mechanical and electrotechnical assembly, preferably in the machine-building industry
- Experience leading colleagues, or a clear desire to take on that role
- Able to find practical technical solutions on your own
- Willing to travel abroad and stay for several weeks at a time
- Attention to safety and quality
- You already live in the Netherlands and have the right to work there; the employer does not provide a work permit or visa sponsorship
What we offer
- Salary from €3,750 to €4,750 gross per month, based on 39 hours per week; the exact amount depends on your knowledge and experience
- Allowances for working abroad and irregular hours, up to €600 gross per week
- 7 extra ADV days off (reduction-of-working-hours days, standard in Dutch industry)
- Employment conditions under the CAO Metaal en Techniek (collective labour agreement for the metal and technology sector)
