Workshop Carpenter

About the job

You work as a workshop carpenter making prefabricated dormer windows at a production facility in Drunen. Each dormer is custom-built and fully prepared for installation at the customer's site. You work with a clear end product and see the result of your work every day.

What you'll do

• You start the day in the workshop and get straight to building and finishing prefabricated dormer windows
• You work from technical drawings
• You assemble the individual parts in the correct way
• You carry out the carpentry construction, fit the components and finish the dormers neatly
• You use various hand tools and machines
• You make sure everything is built to the right dimensions and finished properly
• You check your work before the product leaves the workshop
• Together with your colleagues you make sure the dormers are ready on time for installation on site

What we ask

• Experience in carpentry or a related construction trade
• Ability to read technical drawings
• Accuracy and attention to quality
• Ability to work in a team

What we offer

• Salary: €2,600 - €3,200 gross per month (based on 40 hours per week), depending on experience
• Travel cost reimbursement: €0.25 per kilometre
• Allowances and overtime: in line with the cao (collective labour agreement) timmerindustrie for the carpentry industry
• 25 days of annual leave per year
• 10 ADV days (shorter working hours scheme) per year
• Vakantiegeld (holiday pay): 8.33%
• Pension contributions from day one
• Opportunity to obtain certificates, including VCA (Dutch safety certificate for working on construction sites) and other industry certificates
• Option to use a car for commuting to and from work
• Work within a maximum of 30-40 km from your home
• Work clothing and personal protective equipment (safety first) provided by the client company or the uitzendbureau (staffing agency)
• Flexible pay: weekly or every 4 weeks
• A fixed contact person who handles all the paperwork for you
