Rehabilitation Equipment Service Technician

About the job

You work as a service technician for rehabilitation equipment. You work both in the workshop and at customers' homes. The job combines technical work with direct contact with equipment users.

What you'll do

• Prepare new rehabilitation equipment for use, including mobility scooters, manual and electric wheelchairs, and adapted bicycles
• Carry out inspections and repairs on various assistive devices
• Diagnose faults based on conversations with users and solve the problems
• Deliver and collect equipment, and show customers how to use it
• Refurbish used equipment, both technically and cosmetically

What we ask

• Experience as a technician or proven technical skills in mechatronics, mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, bicycle repair, or automotive
• Category B driving licence
• Good communication skills and empathy when working with customers who depend on their equipment

Employment conditions

• Gross salary: €2,689 to €3,629 per month, depending on knowledge and experience
• Possibility to grow into a full allround technician role with a maximum gross salary of €3,921 per month
• 30 days of holiday, vakantiegeld (holiday allowance) of 8%, and a year-end bonus of 4%
• Participation in 24-hour service standby shifts: allowance of €191 per standby week, overtime on working days paid at 125%, overtime on weekends paid at 200%
• Choice of weekly or four-weekly pay
