Process Operator – butter production

About the job

You work as a process operator in a butter production facility in Zelhem. You monitor the production process and keep it running smoothly.

What you'll do

• Monitor the production process continuously, both through the system and on the shop floor;
• Spot and fix deviations and faults on your own;
• Carry out quality checks to make sure the end product meets the standard;
• Work with the operator team to keep production running well;
• Take part in improving production processes.

What we ask

• Experience or interest in process technology or food technology (a VAPRO A/B/C diploma is welcome, or willingness to work towards one. VAPRO is a Dutch vocational qualification for process operators);
• Accuracy, attention to hygiene, and following safety rules;
• Ability to react quickly and set priorities.

Working hours

Shift work: morning shifts (05:45–14:00, Fridays until 12:00), afternoon shifts (13:45–22:00, Fridays 11:45–18:00), and night shifts (1 week in every 5). Some Saturdays are included (2 out of every 5 weeks), with an extra day off during that week. The facility closes on Saturday at 18:00. Sundays are always free.

Terms of employment

• Salary from €3,100 to €4,000 gross per month (excluding allowances), depending on experience;
• Shift and Saturday allowances in line with the applicable CAO (CAO is a Dutch collective labour agreement that sets minimum pay and conditions);
• Annual bonus of up to 15% of salary, of which 8% is guaranteed;
• 8% vakantiegeld (vakantiegeld is a Dutch statutory holiday allowance, paid on top of your salary) and travel cost reimbursement of €0.23 per km;
• 26 days of holiday with the option to buy 5 more;

• Training opportunities, including the option to obtain a VAPRO certificate;
• Possibility to grow to senior operator or shift leader;
• Same employment conditions as employees hired directly by the facility.
