Metal Production Operator
About the job
As a Metal Production Operator, you are responsible for running your production line in a stable and efficient way. You set up machines, monitor the process, and step in where needed. You combine technical knowledge with process oversight, and you take an active part in improvements.
You work independently on technical tasks and process improvements, but always as part of a close team. Together you take care of quality, safety, and a smooth production flow.
What you'll do
- Operating and setting up the process: You set up machines, monitor progress, and carry out changeovers and adjustments.
- Troubleshooting: You analyse and fix process disruptions. If needed, you contact the technical department.
- Quality control: You check raw and auxiliary materials, assess finished products, and act on deviations.
- Optimisation: You actively take part in improving safety, quality, output, and production flow, including during the daily Lean meeting.
- Collaboration: You work in a close, supportive team where sharing knowledge comes first. New employees get thorough onboarding from experienced colleagues.
What we ask
You have an interest in technology and you are motivated to grow in a modern production environment. You work in an organised way, you like to learn, and you take responsibility for your line and the end result.
- Education: At least a technical MBO-2 qualification (a Dutch vocational qualification at level 2), or currently studying via the BBL work-based learning route.
- Experience: Experience in production is a plus, but not required. You will be trained internally.
- Technical knowledge: You like to understand faults, improve processes, and learn new technologies.
- Attitude: Hands-on, a team player, focused on quality, and willing to work in a 3-shift system.
What we offer
You join an international organisation where technology, safety, and development are priorities. There is ongoing investment in modernisation and in people. You get responsibility, technical challenges, and room to grow.
- Salary: €3,660 to €4,400 gross per month (including allowances), depending on experience.
- Shift allowance: 22% for working in the 3-shift system.
- Days off: 27 holiday days plus 13 ADV days (ADV: reduced working hours days, similar to time off in lieu).
- Holiday pay (vakantiegeld): 8%.
- Bonus: Profit sharing of 8%.
- Travel costs: €0.23 per kilometre.
- Development: Strong focus on training, onboarding, and progression towards technical specialist or Operator B/C.
- Work atmosphere: Multicultural, informal, safe, and focused on results.
