Bricklayer (self-employed / ZZP)

About the job

As a self-employed bricklayer (ZZP, meaning you work as a sole trader/freelancer), you carry out a range of bricklaying work fully independently, with a focus on quality. You work on projects across the Netherlands, both new-build and renovation.

What you'll do

• Read and interpret construction and working drawings
• Determine brick bonding patterns
• Set out and calculate angles and courses
• Set up profiles and work with line wire
• Cut bricks and natural stone to size
• Lay bricks using profiles and line wire
• Mix and apply mortar
• Finish and point walls

What we ask

• Registered business with the Kamer van Koophandel (KvK, the Dutch Chamber of Commerce), extract no older than 3 months
• VCA-VOL certificate (VCA is a Dutch safety certification for construction and technical work), copy required
• Copy of your business bank card
• Copy of your BTW (VAT) number issued by the Belastingdienst (Dutch Tax Authority)
• Business liability insurance (bedrijfsaansprakelijkheidsverzekering), copy required
• Verklaring betalingsgedrag nakoming fiscale verplichtingen (a Dutch Tax Authority statement confirming you are up to date with your tax obligations), no older than 3 months
• Able to work independently, accurate, and focused on a precise end result
