Electromechanical Technician

About the job

For a technical company in Spijkenisse, we are looking for an electromechanical technician for the repair and technical department. You test, measure, repair and modify electronic equipment.

What you'll do

• Testing electronic measuring and control instruments
• Finding and fixing faults
• Repairing electronic equipment
• Carrying out component-level repairs where possible
• Modifying and adapting electronic equipment
• Building and improving test equipment
• Supporting technical development work
• Contributing to finding technical solutions
• Carrying out quality checks
• Keeping technical documentation up to date
• Communicating with customers about technical matters and repairs

Extra responsibilities

If you have experience leading colleagues, planning or dealing with customers, you may take on extra responsibilities, for example:

• Guiding and supporting colleagues
• Overseeing daily planning
• Monitoring progress and quality of work
• Acting as the point of contact within the department
• Communicating with customers about repairs and progress

This is not a requirement. A solid background in electronics is what matters most.

What we ask

• Practical experience in electronics
• Experience with fault-finding, measuring, testing and repairing
• Experience with printed circuit boards is a plus
• MBO-level (Dutch secondary vocational education) thinking and background, preferably in electronics, electrical engineering or mechatronics
• Precise and independent way of working
• A problem-solving attitude
• Good team player
• Good command of Dutch
• Experience leading colleagues is a plus
