Semi-Trailer and Trailer Mechanic

About the job

You work in a workshop doing maintenance, repairs, overhauls and fault-finding on different types of semi-trailers and trailers. This job is for someone who knows their way around vehicles and likes working with heavy transport.

What you'll do

• Welding, brake inspections, bodywork repairs and straightening frames
• Working on pneumatic systems, electrics, lighting and trailer superstructures, and carrying out APK (Dutch mandatory vehicle inspection) checks
• Diagnosing and fixing faults in electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic systems
• Fabricating spare parts and checking the quality of completed work
• Keeping workshop machines and equipment in good working order
• Taking part in a technical breakdown rota, with extra pay

What we ask

• Experience in heavy vehicle mechanics, semi-trailers or similar machinery
• Ability to work with electrical, hydraulic or pneumatic systems
• Willingness to work breakdown call-out shifts
