About the job
As a maintenance mechanic, you make sure the production process keeps running on the technical side. You work with advanced process installations in a high-tech production environment where mechanics, electrical engineering, and control technology come together. One day you do preventive checks on production lines, the next you troubleshoot a complex breakdown or coordinate subcontractors during a shutdown.
What you'll do
- carry out preventive and corrective maintenance on process installations
- analyse and fix mechanical and electrical faults
- troubleshoot control systems, sensors, motors, and instrumentation
- work with PLC-controlled installations and support during control system failures
- prepare and coordinate maintenance shutdowns and overhaul work
- carry out inspections and assess the technical condition of machines
- supervise external fitters and subcontractors during maintenance work
- take part in modifications, overhauls, and improvement projects
- record completed work and maintenance data in the maintenance management system
- join technical improvement teams and health and safety projects
- keep the workplace safe in line with procedures and standards
- work day shifts and take part in an on-call standby rota
What we ask
- completed MBO 4 (Dutch vocational qualification, level 4) in electrical engineering, mechatronics, mechanical engineering, AOT, or a related field
- experience in maintenance in an industrial or process environment
- knowledge of instrumentation and control technology
- basic knowledge of Siemens PLC systems
- experience with mechanical and electrical installations
- analytical thinking and a good technical instinct
- good communication skills and a proactive attitude
- experience with maintenance management systems and work documentation
- willing to take part in the on-call standby rota
- willing to keep developing through training and courses
What we offer
- gross salary between €3,500 and €5,000 per month
- on-call standby allowance of 10.5% in standby weeks
- 13th month payment
- profit sharing up to €4,000 gross per year
