About the job
In this varied role, you do mechanical maintenance and repair work on installations at a chemical plant. You work day shifts and take part in on-call standby duties on a rotating schedule. You keep pumps, pipelines, valves and other mechanical parts in good condition. You join improvement projects and construction initiatives, share your input in discussions, log your work accurately in SAP and contact suppliers when needed.
What you'll do
- Carry out mechanical maintenance, inspections and repairs on installations
- Find and fix faults, both preventively and correctively
- Log completed work and materials used in SAP
- Take part in improvement projects and new construction projects
- Take on-call standby duties in coordination with the team
What we ask
You are technically skilled, work in an organised way and have a flexible, service-minded approach. We ask for:
- An MBO-4 diploma (Dutch secondary vocational qualification, level 4) in mechanical engineering or a related field
- Proven experience as a mechanic or maintenance technician
- Knowledge of pumps is a plus
- Experience in the process or chemical industry is a plus
- A valid VOG (Verklaring Omtrent het Gedrag, a Dutch certificate of good conduct) or willingness to obtain one
What we offer

- A gross monthly salary of €3,400 to €4,000, depending on experience and knowledge
- A 13th month payment (pro rata), paid in November
- A holiday allowance of 8.33%
- A strong pension plan, with the employer covering two thirds of the contribution
- 36.5 days of leave per year
