Packaging Machine Operator

About the job

As a Packaging Machine Operator, you are responsible for keeping the packaging process running well. By setting up machines correctly and spotting problems early, you prevent downtime and help deliver a reliable end product together with your team.

What you'll do

• Set up, operate and monitor automated packaging machines
• Change over machines when switching to a different product
• Adjust settings to keep the production process stable
• Detect and fix minor technical faults
• Check the quality of the packaged product
• Carry out first-level maintenance on the machines
• Work according to safety, quality and hygiene rules
• Work together with operators and other production staff
• Share ideas for improving machines and the production process

You don't need to know every machine from day one. You start with a solid onboarding period and first get to know one installation well. From there, you can keep building your technical knowledge.

What we ask

• At least one year of experience in a production environment
• Technical understanding and an interest in machines
• Willing to work a 2-shift schedule
• Accurate and organised way of working
• Attention to safety, quality and hygiene
• Eager to learn new techniques and operate new machines
• Good command of English
• A technical mbo (Dutch vocational education at intermediate level) background is welcome but not required
• Experience in the food industry or knowledge of HACCP is a plus

Do you have production experience but have not yet worked as a full operator? This role can be a good fit if you have technical understanding and want to grow.
