Process Operator - Pilot Plant
About the job
Our food pilot plant covers more than 2500 m² and runs scale-up projects and trial productions for clients from the Netherlands and abroad. You work with a wide range of unit operations: product preparation, heating equipment, separation processes, membrane filtration, evaporators and spray dryers. Products include powders, sauces, desserts and baby food. You are part of a team of around 10 people who work together with the client to deliver successful projects.
What you'll do
- Run experiments and trial productions independently
- Operate and set up automated process equipment
- Act as the expert in one or more processes or unit operations
- Give technical input to project managers
- Keep process installations properly maintained, working together with the Technical Department
What we ask
To work as a process operator in a pilot plant, you need a solid background. You meet at least these requirements:
- MBO level 3 or 4 (Dutch vocational qualification) in process technology, food technology or VAPRO B
- At least 2 years of experience as a process operator in the food industry
- Experience with continuous improvement and improvement projects
- Knowledge and/or experience with complex processes such as spray drying, evaporation, filtration and separation processes
