About the job

Do you want to be responsible for producing life-saving medicines? In the heart of the dunes of North Holland, you will produce radioactive and pharmaceutical products used in the treatment or diagnosis of cancer. Looking for meaningful work at a growing company? This is it.

As a process operator, you will work in the radiochemical and pharmaceutical production department. It is a unique workplace you will not find anywhere else in the Netherlands.

What you'll do

  • Produce radioactive pharmaceutical intermediates and final products according to the plan and procedures, by performing operations in hot cells using manipulators or operating equipment
  • Carry out preparation work, such as preparing auxiliary materials and removing material residues
  • Prepare production panels in hot cells for use by replacing glassware, equipment and raw materials using manipulators (master-slave clamps and arms)
  • Evaluate measurement results based on measurement sheets and perform standardised calculations to determine data needed for the formula
  • Fill in production data on designated forms and batch records, keep logbooks and enter data into production systems

What we ask

For this responsible and unique role, you need a working and thinking level of MBO or HAVO (Dutch secondary/vocational education levels) with a science and chemistry profile. Good hand-eye coordination is required for working in hot-cell laboratories. You can work with computer and control systems, and you have a quality-conscious and precise approach. A VOG (Verklaring Omtrent het Gedrag, a certificate of conduct) is part of the application procedure.

This role demands a lot, and the terms of employment reflect that. You will work a 7-shift schedule. This is a variation of a 5-shift schedule where you occasionally work day shifts for a few weeks and have weekends off.

  • Gross base salary from €3,330 to €5,100 per month, including a 24% shift allowance
  • 25 days of annual leave
  • 8% vakantiegeld (holiday pay, a statutory annual bonus of 8% of gross salary)
  • Full travel reimbursement at €0.21 per km
  • 13th month salary, year-end payment and a bonus scheme

After the secondment period, you will transfer to direct employment with the client.

Depending on the position and the client, reference checks and verification of diplomas and certificates may be part of the selection procedure.
