Process Operator Green Gas

About the job

Do you want to work at an industrial plant where technology meets sustainability? Do you have a technical mbo-2 or mbo-3 diploma and experience as an operator or technical worker? This could be a good next step, based in Alkmaar. You will learn the complete production process and take on a wide range of responsibilities.

You will work at a modern production facility where organic waste is converted into green gas. Together with a small team, you make sure the plant runs safely, reliably, and efficiently.

What you'll do

As a process operator, you are responsible for operating, monitoring, and keeping the plant running. You work both outdoors in the field and at various control systems.

Your tasks include

• Feeding the fermenters with solid raw material and operating the loader
• Operating and monitoring the process installation using control systems
• Monitoring the production process and making adjustments when needed
• Carrying out inspection rounds at pumps, pipelines, and tanks
• Detecting and reporting deviations and unsafe situations
• Doing initial fault analysis and fixing issues where possible

You are not just sitting in the control room. You regularly go outside, see what is actually happening in the plant, and act when something is off.

What we ask

You have a technical mindset and like to understand how a plant works. You are not afraid to roll up your sleeves and take responsibility when you spot a deviation.

You also have

• A completed technical mbo-2 or mbo-3 diploma, for example Vapro (a Dutch process technology qualification) or similar
• Experience as an operator, machine operator, field operator, or technical worker
• Technical thinking and a hands-on approach
• Experience with or interest in industrial installations
• A strong sense of responsibility for safety and production continuity
• Willingness to participate in on-call emergency duties (consignation)

Experience with biogas, green gas, or fermentation is a plus, but not required.

What we offer

You get an independent technical role where you learn a lot and gradually take on more responsibility.

You can count on

• Gross monthly salary from €3,138 to €4,500, depending on knowledge and experience
• A permanent contract straight away
• Extra pay for participating in 24/7 on-call emergency duties
• 8% vakantiegeld (holiday allowance, a mandatory Dutch extra payment on top of your salary) and a 4.5% annual bonus
• 25 vacation days, 13 ADV days (reduction of working hours days, a Dutch arrangement for shorter working weeks) and 3.5 health leave days
• A good pension plan
• A personal development budget of €500 per year
• All training needed to do the job safely and correctly
• Plenty of opportunities to grow further within a committed team

Depending on the role and the client, reference checks and verification of diplomas and certificates may be part of the recruitment process.
