About the job
You work in a large distribution centre in Breda. Every day, large amounts of goods pass through here for supermarkets across the Netherlands. Your job is to process returned products and get them ready for reuse. No two days are exactly the same, because you work with many different products and materials.
The work is in a production environment where several machines run at the same time. Noise levels can be high, so wearing ear protection is mandatory. The temperature in the hall is around 14 degrees Celsius, so you need to be comfortable working in a cool space.
Shift times (rotating two-shift system)
- Morning shift: 06:00 to 14:00
- Afternoon/evening shift: 14:00 to 22:00
You work 36 hours a week. You need to be flexible about the end time. Shifts can run up to 2 hours longer, for example 14:00 can become 16:00, and 22:00 can become 00:00.
What you'll do
- Sort and process returned products
- Operate different assembly and processing machines
- Process crates, empty cans and bottles
- Check and separate returned materials
- Keep your work area clean and safe
What we ask
- You speak Dutch or basic English
- You live near Breda
- You are available for a two-shift system and can be flexible with up to 2 extra hours per shift
- You are comfortable with physical work
- You have your own transport to get to work
- You are at least 18 years old (required by law for evening work)
- Experience in logistics or production is a plus, but motivation and a good attitude matter just as much
What we offer
- Hourly rate: €14.99 gross per hour to start; after 8 weeks worked: €15.12 gross per hour; from 1 January 2027: €15.29 gross per hour
- Shift allowance (toeslag) of 125% to 200% for evening and weekend hours
- Travel cost reimbursement for distances over 10 km one way (€0.23 per km)
- Holiday hours and vakantiegeld (holiday pay, a standard Dutch allowance of roughly 8% of your gross wage) built up for every hour you work
