Refrigeration Engineer – Retail

About the job

You work every day on modern refrigeration and freezer systems in supermarkets. You make sure the installations run properly. You also work on sustainability projects using natural refrigerants like CO2. The job combines technical problem-solving with direct contact with customers.

What you'll do

• Maintain and repair complex refrigeration and freezer systems, including connected heating systems
• Analyse and fix faults using modern data systems
• Talk to customers about the condition of the installations and give technical support
• Work on eco-friendly projects, such as heat recovery systems and CO2 installations
• Work together with other engineers and planners to keep things running smoothly

What we ask

• MBO-level education or experience in a technical field (MBO is a Dutch vocational qualification, roughly equivalent to a technical college diploma)
• Category B driving licence and willingness to travel
• Experience with refrigeration and freezer systems
• Able to analyse and fix faults on your own
• Calm and professional when working under pressure

What we offer

• Salary from €2,800 to €3,600 gross per month
• Permanent contract
• Full-time position (32 to 40 hours per week)
• 25 days of holiday and 8% vakantiegeld (holiday pay, a mandatory annual bonus paid on top of your salary)
