Technical Service Engineer

About the job

As a technical service engineer, you are responsible for keeping various technical installations running properly. You carry out preventive maintenance and repairs on your own, analyse faults, and make sure they are fixed quickly and professionally. You keep in good contact with the client and actively suggest suitable solutions.

What you'll do

• Carry out inspections and maintenance of technical installations independently
• Diagnose and fix faults
• Inspect and adjust installations
• Spot opportunities for improvements and additional work
• Take part in emergency on-call duties
• Document completed work carefully in reports and administration
• Keep in contact with the client and advise on lasting solutions

What we ask

• At least 3 to 5 years of experience in servicing and maintaining installations
• A completed technical vocational qualification at MBO niveau 3 level or higher (MBO is the Dutch system for vocational education, roughly equivalent to a trade school diploma)
• Broad knowledge of installation engineering
• Able to work independently and as part of a team
• Client-focused and result-oriented
• Willing to take on emergency on-call duties
• Solution-focused attitude, initiative, attention to quality, and good planning and organisational skills

• Monthly salary of €3,000 to €4,600 gross, depending on experience
• 38 days of leave, of which 13 are ADV days (ADV is a Dutch arrangement for reduced working hours, where extra days off compensate for working more than the standard hours)
