General Technical Fitter – Animal Feed Production

About the job

You work in a technical production environment where raw materials are processed into high-quality animal feed. Together with your colleagues, you keep the installations running reliably. These installations are used for dosing, grinding, mixing, transporting and further processing of raw materials. You work both mechanically and electrotechnically and deal with a wide range of techniques.

What you'll do

• Carry out preventive and corrective maintenance on mechanical and electrotechnical installations
• Analyse and fix faults in transport installations, pneumatics, hydraulics and steam installations
• Maintain installations used for dosing, grinding, mixing and transporting raw materials
• Modify, optimise and install machines and technical systems
• Actively contribute to developing technical improvements to prevent breakdowns and increase production reliability
• Work mainly on the day shift with participation in an on-call standby schedule

What we ask

• A completed vocational or technical education (mbo level 3 or 4, Dutch vocational qualification) in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or Mechatronics
• Experience as a General Fitter, Maintenance Fitter or Breakdown Fitter in a production environment
• Knowledge of mechanical and electrotechnical engineering
• Familiarity with pneumatics, hydraulics, drive technology and control technology
• Ability to analyse faults independently and think proactively about improvements
• Willingness to participate in the on-call standby schedule

What we offer

• Salary from €3,497 to €4,304 gross per month, depending on education and experience
• Option to work 32 or 40 hours per week
• Day shift work
• On-call standby schedule: approximately one weekend every six weeks and three days per month
• 8% vakantiegeld (holiday allowance, a statutory Dutch bonus paid once a year) and 4% annual bonus
• 24 vacation days and 13 ADV days (scheduled days off to reduce working hours) based on full-time employment
• Training and courses to support your further technical development
