Maintenance and Breakdown Mechanic

About the job

You keep the machines and installations running in a food production facility in Nijkerk. You work both on your own and as part of a team, making sure production keeps going.

What you'll do

• Find, analyse and fix electrical and mechanical breakdowns
• Carry out inspections, maintenance, repairs and overhauls of machines and installations
• Suggest improvements and take part in safety activities
• Log data in the maintenance management system
• Play an active role in maintenance projects and teams, and share knowledge with operators

What we ask

• A background in mechanics, electrical engineering or mechatronics. A few years in a production environment is a plus, but candidates without experience who have a relevant technical qualification are also welcome
• Knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, lubrication technology or control engineering is an advantage
• Willingness to take part in on-call duty (consignatie, meaning you are reachable outside normal hours to respond to breakdowns) and the ability to work in a team
