Rehabilitation Equipment Mechanic

About the job

You work as a rehabilitation equipment mechanic, both in a workshop and at clients' homes. You repair and prepare wheelchairs, scooters, and bicycles for people who depend on them.

What you'll do

• Prepare new rehabilitation equipment for use (scooters, manual and electric wheelchairs, bicycles)
• Carry out repairs and maintenance in the workshop and at clients' homes
• Diagnose technical faults by asking the right questions and assessing the condition of the equipment
• Pick up and deliver rehabilitation equipment and instruct users
• Restore used equipment to a condition ready for reuse

What we ask

• Technical experience in mechatronics, mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, bicycle repair, or automotive mechanics
• Category B driving licence
• Flexibility and good communication and problem-solving skills
